No Gun Ri IncidentThe No Gun Ri Massacre, which occurred on July 25-29, 1950, early in the Korean War, refers to an incident where hundreds of innocent civillians were sacrificed by the U.S. soldiers in Haga-ri, Yeongdong-gun and in the vicinity of Gyeongbu Railroad and Twin Tunnels Bridge near the village of No Gun Ri.
BackgroundIn commemmoration of the 70th anniversary of No Gun Ri Incident, we'd like to overcome the pains and sorrows of the past and move toward a path of true peace and reconciliation.
ThemesBy visiting the tragic memories of No Gun Ri Incident, the most representative civilian massacre occurred during the Korean War, we'd like to promote the universal value of human rights and peace and the importance of peace activities and peace education.
